In 1983, Mr. Leow Soon Seng began researching the cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum using tissue culture methods. This pioneering work led to the creation of many highly sought-after products, including the world’s first coffees enriched with Ganoderma lucidum—GanoCafé and Noble Garden—and the first 100% water-soluble Ganoderma lucidum extract health supplements, Reishi Gold and Excellium Gold.

Under the leadership of Mr. Leow Soon Seng, the GANO+ Laboratory and GANO-IRT Institute was established, bringing together an international team of researchers from the USA, Japan, South Korea, China, Uzbekistan, India, and Malaysia. The mission is to study the health benefits of Ganoderma lucidum and other medicinal mushrooms, applying this knowledge and technology to drive product innovation at Gano Excel.
