From humble beginnings in 1983, Mr. Leow started researching the cultivation of the Ganoderma lucidum mushroom, which is highly regarded for its health benefits. After years of dedicated work and by applying his experience from growing orchids, he perfected a tissue culture method for its cultivation. He discovered that Malaysia's climate, with its high humidity and optimal temperatures between 28°C and 32°C, provided the ideal environment for large-scale production, making this esteemed medicinal mushroom affordable for everyone.

Since establishing Gano Excel in 1995, the company has grown to operate the world's largest organic Ganoderma plantation facility, with in-house manufacturing facilities are now markets its products in more than 100 countries worldwide, from its Headquarter in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia.

Recognized globally as the first person in Southeast Asia to successfully cultivate the Ganoderma lucidum mushroom, Mr. Leow's expertise in Ganoderma Nutritional Immunology and his efforts to bring its health benefits to the world earned him an appointment as a herbal medicine researcher for the United Nations. He continues to develop many globally sought-after products based on Ganoderma lucidum extract, all rooted in the principles of Ganoderma Nutritional Immunology.
